KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 27): Pekat Group Bhd (KL:PEKAT) capped off its financial year 2025 with a "double record" performance, hitting all-time highs for both full-year and fourth-quarter net profit and revenue.

Net profit for the quarter ended Dec 31, 2025 (4QFY2025) jumped nearly 60% to RM11.69 million from RM7.33 million in 4QFY2024 as revenue surged to its highest of RM190.9 million from RM90.15 million, a bourse filing showed. The improved performance came as contributions from its three business segments grew. No dividend was declared.

During the quarter under review, its key growth driver — the solar photovoltaics division — saw revenue jump 130.2% to RM116.22 million from RM50.5 million, supported by progress in a large-scale solar engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning project under the Corporate Green Power Programme.

The improved quarterly showing lifted the group's annual top and bottom lines to their highest since its listing in June 2021. Net profit more than doubled to RM45.04 million from RM22 million in FY2024, while revenue soared 112.5% to RM609.91 million from RM286.98 million.

Looking ahead, the group is moving to secure recurring income. One of the two 29.99-megawatt alternating current (MWac) solar power plants it is developing is expected to generate recurring income upon completion in the first half of this year.

The group also expects its earthing and lightning protection division to benefit from increased foreign direct investment into Malaysia’s data centre sector.

“In addition, Tenaga Nasional Bhd (KL:TENAGA)’s ongoing capital expenditure to support Malaysia’s energy transition and grid modernisation initiatives is expected to drive demand for power distribution equipment, thereby creating further opportunities for the group’s power distribution equipment division,” it added.

Shares in Pekat closed down two sen or 1.48% at RM1.33, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM939 million.
