KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 27): 7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings Bhd (KL:SEM) narrowed its net loss to RM726,000 in the fourth quarter ended Dec 31, 2025 (4QFY2025), from RM2.66 million a year earlier, as revenue climbed on store expansion.

The fourth quarter was, however, the group's only loss-making quarter in FY2025, after it posted profits of RM10.63 million in 1QFY2025, RM19.96 million in 2QFY2025 and RM2.13 million in 3QFY2025.

Quarterly revenue rose 10.15% year-on-year to RM821.18 million from RM745.49 million, driven mainly by the net addition of 100 stores, bringing the total number of stores to 2,735, alongside higher average per store day (APSD), supported by public holiday spending, a bourse filing showed.

During the quarter, the group also rolled out 323 new 7-Café stores, bringing the total to 859.

The convenience store segment recorded a profit after tax of RM1.8 million, compared with a loss of RM3.5 million a year ago, as the segment revenue improved 9.2% to RM814.6 million from RM746 million.

The group did not recommend any dividend for the quarter.

For the full year, net profit declined 23.11% to RM31.99 million from RM41.61 million in FY2024, despite revenue rising 8.63% to RM3.18 billion from RM2.93 billion.

7-Eleven is cautiously optimistic about its outlook for 2026, amid an anticipated surge in tourist arrivals under Visit Malaysia Year 2026 and improved household disposable income following civil service salary adjustments.

Shares in 7-Eleven closed unchanged at RM2, giving the group a market capitalisation of approximately RM2.34 billion.
