KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 26): Press Metal Aluminium Holdings Bhd (KL:PMETAL) logged a record quarterly net profit in the fourth quarter, closing its latest fiscal year with all-time high earnings.
The aluminium smelter’s earnings growth, both quarterly and full year, was driven by higher sales volume coupled with stronger metal prices. Lower operating costs relative to revenue growth also helped offset weaker contributions from associate companies.
Net profit for the three months ended Dec 31, 2025 (4QFY2025) rose 31.7% to RM592.14 million — its highest quarterly net profit on record — from RM449.53 million a year earlier, according to a bourse filing on Thursday.
For the full year, net profit grew 19% to RM2.1 billion — a fresh all-time high — from RM1.77 billion in FY2024, as revenue gained 8.7% to RM16.2 billion from RM14.91 billion.
The group declared a fourth interim dividend of two sen per share, payable on March 30.
Aluminium prices are expected to remain strong going forward, Press Metal noted, as the metal's versatility and high usage intensity drive its increasing adoption across industries.
Together with moderated input costs from alumina, the group said it expects to deliver satisfactory performance for FY2026.
Shares in Press Metal ended eight sen or 1.06% higher at RM7.60, valuing the group at RM62.62 billion.
