KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 26): TIME dotCom Bhd (KL:TIMECOM) on Thursday said it is upgrading its dividend policy as earnings at the internet service provider surged more than 30% in 2025.

The company plans to pay out 50% to 75% of its net profit after adjusting for extraordinary items as dividends to shareholders, according to an exchange filing. The previous dividend policy called for distribution of up to half of its annual earnings.

“This change reflects the group’s commitment to delivering consistent earnings and shareholder returns, underscoring its confidence in its financial resilience and ability to continue rewarding shareholders,” TIME said in a separate statement.

An interim dividend of 17.32 sen per share and a special dividend of 9.73 sen per share were also declared, both payable on March 25. Dividends announced for 2025 totalled 48.69 sen per share.

The change in policy comes after TIME reported a jump in net profit to RM428.16 million in 2025 from RM328.16 million a year earlier, thanks to lower impairment of submarine cable and reduced net foreign exchange loss.

Revenue, meanwhile, climbed 6.1% to RM1.79 billion, driven by higher data revenue that offset declines in voice, cloud and other services.

“TIME will continue to invest in network expansion, digital transformation and enhanced customer solutions to maintain its competitive edge,” the company added.

For the fourth quarter of 2025 (4QFY2025), net profit was RM104.38 million, a decrease of nearly 9% when compared to the same period in 2024, due to higher net foreign exchange loss and impairment of investment in associate.

The company also booked lower share of profit from associates and jointly controlled entities. Revenue, however, was up by 7.9% year-on-year to RM464.79 million.
