KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 23): TSR Capital Bhd (KL:TSRCAP), together with its joint venture partner, has secured a RM99 million contract to widen a stretch of the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway.
In a Bursa Malaysia filing on Monday, the group said the contract was secured via its wholly owned TSR Bina Sdn Bhd. The identity of the joint venture partner was not disclosed.
The job was awarded by AFA Construction and Engineering Sdn Bhd (AFACE). AFACE is a unit of AFA Prime Bhd (formerly Anih Bhd), the concessionaire of the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway. AFA Prime is wholly owned by Tan Sri Dr Azmil Khalili Khalid.
The scope of work covers Package 1B under the broader highway widening programme from KM19.2 to KM64.5, involving the construction and completion of earthworks.
Works are scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2026, TSR Capital said, with the project expected to contribute positively to its order book and financial performance over its duration.
TSR Capital executive director Lim Dian Ping said the award marks an important step in the group’s expansion within the infrastructure construction sector. “With our proven capabilities in earthworks and infrastructure construction, TSR Capital is well-positioned to capitalise on the growing pipeline of highway, transportation, and civil engineering opportunities across Malaysia,” he said.
Lim added that TSR Capital remains committed to delivering the project with professionalism, efficiency, and safety, reinforcing its position as a reliable infrastructure contractor and supporting its long-term growth trajectory.
Shares in TSR Capital closed unchanged at 23 sen on Monday, valuing the group at RM40.12 million. The stock has remained largely flat over the past year.
