KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 13): 99 Speed Mart Retail Holdings Bhd (KL:99SMART) is staying on course with its plan to expand its number of outlets, after it closed its latest fiscal year with record earnings.
The group said its full-year net profit jumped 25.3% from a year earlier, while growth in the fourth quarter climbed 26.3%, on the back of its new stores and strong consumer spending on daily essentials, supported by various government social assistance initiatives.
Continuing to build on the 259 new outlets opened in 2025, the mini market chain retailer’s founder and CEO Lee Thiam Wah said the group will remain focused on its target of opening 250 new outlets annually.
“FY2025 has been a milestone year for the company. We not only surpassed the RM10 billion mark in revenue, but also successfully achieved our target of operating 3,000 outlets nationwide by 2025,” he said in a statement on Friday. At end-December 2025, 99 Speed Mart had 3,037 outlets in its footprint.
Net profit for the fourth quarter ended Dec 31, 2025 (4QFY2025) rose to RM157.16 million from RM124.42 million a year earlier, as revenue increased 19% to RM3.08 billion from RM2.58 billion.
Total sales transactions in the quarter grew 17.4%, while average basket size rose to RM21.7 from RM21.4 a year ago. Earnings were also supported by a 13.7% rise in other operating income, thanks to higher allowance income from the group's outlet expansion.
No dividend was declared for the final quarter.
99 Speed Mart said full-year net profit surged to RM614.2 million — the highest since the group’s listing in September 2024 — as revenue climbed 14.5% to RM11.43 billion from RM9.98 billion.
Shares of 99 Speed Mart ended unchanged at RM3.95, valuing the group at RM33.18 billion.
