KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 3): Trading in the shares of Mlabs Systems Bhd (KL:MLAB) is set to be suspended next Tuesday (Feb 10), after it failed to submit its annual report for the financial period ended Sept 30, 2025 (FY2025) within the stipulated deadline.

The ACE Market-listed company missed the Jan 31, 2026 cut-off to issue the annual report — which should comprise audited financial statements as well as the auditors’ and directors’ reports — to Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd, according to a filing on Tuesday.

The company had last week flagged delays in issuing its annual report for FY2025, saying it was needed to allow external auditors more time to finalise their audit.

Under the ACE Market listing requirements, Bursa is to suspend trading if a listed issuer does not submit outstanding financial statements within five market days after the deadline.

If Mlabs fails to issue the annual report on or before Feb 9, 2026 (Monday), the suspension will take effect at 9am on Feb 10 and will only be lifted on the market day following the report’s submission.

Bursa also warned that failure to issue the annual report within six months of the deadline may trigger delisting procedures.

Mlabs, in announcing the delay, said it was working with auditors to complete the process “expeditiously” and aims to issue the report within two weeks of its Jan 27 announcement.

The loss-making group reported a negative return on equity of 21.7% and a negative trailing 12-month Ebitda margin of 86.2%, according to AskEdge.

Mlabs’ shares slipped one sen or 18.18% to close at 4.5 sen on Tuesday, valuing the group at RM13 million.
