KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 21): Pantech Global Bhd (KL:PGLOBAL) reported a flat net profit for its third quarter as an uptick in revenue was offset by rising operating expenses.

Net profit for the three months ended Nov 30, 2025 (3QFY2026) came in at RM12.5 million, little changed from RM12.47 million a year ago, according to the pipe manufacturing firm's latest quarterly results filing on Wednesday (Jan 21).

Quarterly revenue rose 4.58% to RM127.47 million from RM121.89 million but operating expenses grew 5.7% to RM111.63 million from RM105.61 million. No dividend was declared for the quarter.

For the nine months ended Nov 30, 2025 (9MFY2026), the group's net profit fell 11.69% to RM34.73 million from RM39.32 million in 9MFY2025, as revenue dropped a marginal 1.8% to RM380 million from RM386.96 million.

It said the weaker earnings and revenue for 9MFY2026 were due to a reduction in the average selling price.

Looking ahead, the group said the external business environment remains influenced by macroeconomic uncertainties, fluctuations in raw material prices and heightened geopolitical tensions that may affect global trade patterns and demand.

“Steel articles exported to the United States are subject to Section 232 tariffs under the Trade Expansion Act of 1962, which are borne by the US importers,” it noted.

In navigating these external headwinds, the group said it continues to adopt a prudent and disciplined approach in managing potential risks while ensuring operational continuity and service reliability.

Barring unforeseen circumstances, the group said it remains cautiously positive on the remainder of the financial year.

At Wednesday's market close, Pantech Global's shares were unchanged at 43.5 sen, valuing the company at RM370 million. Listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia in March 2025, the stock has fallen 36% from its initial public offering price of 68 sen.
