KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 15): Pestec International Bhd (KL:PESTEC) has appointed Datuk Adam Yee Hee Hoon as president of the power grid and rail network engineering group, effective Thursday.

Yee, former president and CEO of Siemens Malaysia, will guide Pestec’s strategic direction and new business development, the group said in a statement on Thursday.

In his new role, Yee will provide strategic oversight on operational performance and report to Pestec’s group managing director Datuk Mohamed Razeek Hussain, who retains overall responsibility of the group, it added.

“Deputy group CEO Manindar Singh Chawla will continue to oversee project delivery and day-to-day operational matters, also reporting to [Mohamed Razeek]. The board is confident that these refinements to leadership roles will enhance collaboration, governance and continuity in the group’s management and strategic direction,” the group said.

Yee, 50, previously also served as a deputy managing director of switchboard manufacturer Powerwell Holdings Bhd between July 2022 and July 2024.

Pestec's leadership structure has undegone significant changes recently, following the exit of former group CEO Paul Lim Pay Chuan and his uncle, former deputy chairman Lim Ah Hock.

Pay Chuan and Ah Hock were redesignated as non-executive directors in July 2025, but later resigned in August after Pestec settled a lawsuit initiated by the pair over RM17.52 million in alleged unpaid advances.

Pay Chuan had served as group CEO since October 2020. Ah Hock, who had been executive chairman since 2011, was redesignated as non-executive deputy chairman in December 2024 prior to his departure.

Shares in Pestec ended half a sen or 4.55% lower at 10.5 sen on Thursday, valuing the group at RM256.32 million.
