
KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 14): Solar solutions provider Sunview Group Bhd (KL:SUNVIEW) has proposed to raise up to RM19.02 million via a private placement of up to 10% of its enlarged share base to fund working capital for its engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) projects.
It plans to issue as many as 56.77 million shares to third-party investors to be identified at an issue price to be fixed, according to the renewable energy firm’s bourse filing on Wednesday.
The estimated RM19.02 million proceeds to be raised is based on an illustrative price of 33.5 sen, a 9.46% discount to Sunview shares’ five-day volume-weighted average price of 37 sen up to Dec 31, 2025.
Since listing on the ACE Market back in 2022, which raised about RM34.22 million for the group, Sunview has completed two cash calls. A private placement and a special issue in 2024 that raised total proceeds of RM55.75 million. All these proceeds have been fully utilised, it noted.
The latest private placement is expected to be completed within the first quarter of 2026. Kenanga Investment Bank Bhd is the adviser and placement agent for the exercise.
Sunview shares ended half a sen or 1.32% higher at 38.5 sen on Wednesday, valuing the group at RM215.7 million.
