KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 12): HE Group Bhd (KL:HEGROUP) has secured a RM12.6 million contract to undertake power distribution system works for a Malaysia-based electronic products manufacturer.

The contract was awarded to its wholly-owned subsidiary Hexatech Engineering Sdn Bhd, with a duration of ten months and a scheduled completion date of Nov 30, 2026, according to the group’s filing with Bursa Malaysia on Monday (Jan 12).

HE Group noted that the final contract value may be subject to variations, additions or omissions in line with the terms of the purchase order.

The company said the project is expected to contribute positively to future earnings, though it will not affect its share capital or substantial shareholdings.

On Monday, shares in HE Group slipped 0.5 sen or 1.3% to 37.5 sen, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM165 million. Over the past year, the counter has declined 27.9%.
