KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 29): Industrial automation solutions firm Willowglen MSC Bhd (KL:WILLOW) has been awarded an RM8.59 million contract by Singapore’s SP Power Assets Ltd for transmission substation works.
The agreement was awarded to Willowglen’s wholly-owned Willowglen Services Pte Ltd. According to a bourse filing, the contract spans 10 years and is set to conclude on Dec 25, 2035.
Under the terms of the contract, Willowglen’s subsidiary will be responsible for the supply, delivery, installation, commissioning and maintenance of new and replacement remote terminal units, which are microprocessor-based electronic devices used to collect and transmit data from industrial equipment.
This marks its second contract win from SP Power Assets this year; in mid-2025, Willowglen secured a separate RM15.3 million contract for the maintenance of partial discharge systems.
For the quarter ended Sept 30, 2025 (3QFY2025), the group reported a net profit of RM0.97 million and revenue of RM51.56 million.
Despite a marginal revenue increase of 1.53% compared to the previous year, net profit fell by 59.6%. The group attributed this decline to project site delays and rising manpower costs resulting from minimum wage increases.
As of Monday’s market close, Willowglen’s shares remained unchanged at 26 sen, giving the group a market valuation of RM129 million.
