KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 19): Offshore marine support services provider Perdana Petroleum Bhd (KL:PERDANA) said on Friday that it has secured two contracts from Dialog Group Bhd (KL:DIALOG) for the charter of two anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels.

Perdana Petroleum said the estimated charter period for the contracts is 153 days, commencing tentatively on April 1, 2026, or upon the handover of the vessels from the first charterer, SK Earthon Co Ltd, under a joint tender arrangement. 

“The estimated contract value cannot be determined at this time, as it will vary based on the work orders issued by [the] charterer throughout the duration of the contracts,” the group said.

It added that the contracts are expected to run until Aug 30, 2026, unless terminated earlier in accordance with the contractual terms.  

The contracts were entered into between Perdana Nautika Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Perdana Petroleum, and Dialog Resources Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dialog Group.

Under the agreements, Perdana Nautika will provide the AHTS vessels complete with crew and equipment to deliver continuous 24-hour offshore support services. 

These services include assisting and servicing drilling rigs, offshore installations and derrick barges, as well as performing towing and anchor-handling operations.

The contracts are expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2026, excluding any potential extension period, the group added. 

Shares in Perdana Petroleum closed unchanged at 16 sen on Friday, valuing the group at RM334.46 million. Meanwhile, Dialog Group’s shares rose five sen or 2.87% to RM1.79, giving it a market capitalisation of RM10.11 billion.
