KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 10): Edelteq Holdings Bhd (KL:EDELTEQ) has proposed a bonus issue of up to 292.89 million warrants, on the basis of one warrant for every two shares held.
The amount of proceeds to be raised from the bonus issue would depend on the number of warrants exercised during the exercise period, the engineering support services provider said in a bourse filing on Wednesday (Dec 9).
The exercise price of the warrants and the entitlement date will be determined later, the company said.
However, based on an illustrative exercise price of 40 sen per warrant, the full exercise of the 292.89 million warrants is expected to raise RM117.16 million in proceeds to fund working capital.
UOB Kay Hian (M) Sdn Bhd has been appointed as the principal adviser for the bonus issue, which is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2026.
For the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2025, Edelteq’s net profit surged to RM3.43 million from RM545,000 a year earlier, as revenue jumped to RM83.72 million from RM4.88 million.
The strong performance was attributed to a successful ramp-up in service volume and sustained demand from key customers, particularly in the assembly and test consumables segment.
For the nine-month period, net profit rose to RM9.17 million on revenue of RM267.42 million, compared with RM3.1 million on revenue of RM18.62 million a year ago.
Looking ahead, Edelteq said it is investing in advanced technologies such as wafer-level automated optical inspection to broaden its portfolio, deepen customer relationships, and strengthen competitiveness.
Shares in Edelteq closed up 0.5 sen or 1.2% at 43.5 sen on Wednesday, valuing the group at RM254.82 million. Year-to-date, the stock has gained 27.9%.
