KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 8): LAC Med Bhd (KL:LACMED), which is slated to debut on the Main Market on Dec 10, has reported a net profit of RM2.03 million and revenue of RM27.95 million for its third quarter ended Sept 30, 2025
No comparative figures were provided as this marks the group’s first interim financial report ahead of its listing.
For the cumulative nine-month period, the medical device company posted a total net profit of RM12.11 million on a revenue of RM122.91 million. Its gross profit margin stood at 30%, slightly higher than the range of 24.8% to 27.9% recorded over the past three years.
The improvement was driven by a favourable mix of revenue streams, including healthcare IT solutions, sales of medical consumables supported by forex gains, and maintenance services, all of which contributed to stronger margin growth.
The group said it expects continued expansion of Malaysia’s healthcare infrastructure, increased government allocations for medical equipment procurement, as well as growth in medical tourism and an ageing population to translate into steady demand for its offerings.
As at Nov 30, 2025, LAC Med’s order book stood at RM190.8 million in unbilled contract value.
The group also anticipates opportunities arising from initiatives under the 13th Malaysia Plan, which include hospital upgrades, digitalisation of health systems, and investments in advanced medical technology.
Against this backdrop, LAC Med intends to strengthen distributor partnerships, expand service capabilities, and capture demand from the growing healthcare sector in Malaysia.
Complementing its domestic expansion, the group’s strategic entry into Indonesia is expected to unlock new growth avenues, supported by rising healthcare expenditure and a growing network of healthcare facilities driven by economic and demographic shifts.
Its initial public offering (IPO) has attracted strong interest, with the retail portion oversubscribed by 12.64 times. The IPO involves the issuance of 74.19 million new shares at 75 sen apiece, raising RM55.65 million, while selling shareholders will receive RM22.5 million from the offer for sale.
LAC Med will allocate part of its IPO proceeds to new business segments and regional growth, with RM8 million each set aside for its Equipment-as-a-Service and Indonesian expansion. Another RM12 million will fund a new head office with expanded facilities, while the balance will go towardsloan repayments, working capital, and listing expenses.
Upon listing, LAC Med will have a market capitalisation of RM300 million.
