KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 5): Catcha Digital Bhd (KL:CATCHA) has completed the RM6.13 million acquisition of the entire stake in Maxoom Sdn Bhd after the share sale agreement became unconditional on Thursday.

This is the fifth of its planned seven acquisitions. The acquisition of a 51% stake in DS Service Sdn Bhd was terminated on Dec 1.

Following the acquisition, the digital media operator is an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of the group through iMedia Asia Sdn Bhd.

Maxoom, which operates the TechNave consumer technology platform, was acquired via iMedia for RM6.13 million in cash from four vendors — Boon Yau Hun, Hee Kai Hoong, Rev Media Group Sdn Bhd and Chong Woon Chek.

Rev Media is the digital media subsidiary of Media Prima Bhd (KL:MEDIA).

Maxoom recorded RM2.72 million in revenue and RM30,423 in profit after tax for the financial year ended March 31, 2025.

Catcha Digital earlier said the acquisition would broaden the group’s digital media footprint into the consumer technology sector, and could generate synergy to enhance sales and profit margin for both companies.

Only two acquisitions are currently pending completion: a 92.5% interest in Theta Service Partner for RM35 million and 60% of Framemotion Studio for RM37.32 million.

At 2.45pm on Friday, shares of Catcha Digital rose one sen or 3.39% to 30.5 sen, valuing the group at RM137 million.
