KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 5): Hong Leong Investment Bank Bhd (HLIB) has launched an electronic initial public offering (e-IPO) application service through its HLeBroking platform, allowing investors to apply for IPOs directly via its website.

The new feature integrates the entire IPO application process within the HLeBroking ecosystem, eliminating the need for applications through external channels such as ATMs or separate online banking portals.

HLIB chief executive officer Lee Jim Leng, in a statement on Friday, said the Malaysian IPO market has remained active this year, with close to 50 listings recorded so far in 2025.

“The introduction of our e-IPO service reflects our commitment to making high-growth investment opportunities more accessible, while simplifying the IPO application process for clients,” he said.

Through the platform, investors can view their trust balances and portfolios, apply, cancel or reapply for IPO offerings, and track the status and history of their applications in real time, eliminating the need for repeated cash withdrawals and external fund transfers.

In conjunction with the launch, the bank is offering promotional incentives during the campaign period, including waived IPO application fees and a 15% brokerage rebate for trading newly listed IPO shares on their first day of listing.
