SHAH ALAM (Nov 27): Eastern & Oriental Bhd (KL:E&O) unveiled its latest commercial and residential developments spanning a combined 50 acres in the City of Elmina in Shah Alam on Thursday. 

Officially launched on Thursday was Laman Embun, a 15.1-acre commercial development comprising 110 units of two- and three-storey shop offices that come in a land size of 22ft by 75ft and built-ups ranging from 3,256 to 10,883 sq ft. The units are priced from RM2.46 million. 

In his opening address, E&O managing director Kok Tuck Cheong said: “Over the past five years, Elmina has experienced steady value appreciation, reflecting the broader national shift towards wellness and sustainability-led developments. Our intention was not simply to create retail space. We intend to lay the economic and social foundation for the future of our Seri Embun development here [in the City of Elmina].” 

In the first quarter of 2026, the developer plans to launch Seri Embun, which is a 35-acre gated and guarded residential development situated adjacent to Laman Embun. The residential development will comprise 360 units of two- and three-storey terraced houses as well as a clubhouse, exclusive to residents of the project. More details on the built-ups and prices will be revealed later. 

The clubhouse, on the other hand, will feature several facilities, including a gymnasium, swimming pool, wading pool, multipurpose hall, kids’ playground, landscaped gardens, herb garden, garden terrace, function lawn, yoga lawn, pavilion, surau and a Jaccuzi. 

Both developments will be located about 600m from the Elmina Lakeside Mall and about 1km from the SJK (C) Regent Elmina and Chong Hwa Independent School. The projects are accessible via the Guthrie Corridor Expressway.
