KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 26): Rohas Tecnic Bhd (KL:ROHAS) on Wednesday announced that it and its subsidiary Rohas-Euco Industries are no longer under investigation by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) after freezing and seizure orders on their bank accounts were lifted.
In a Bursa Malaysia filing, the company said the lifting of the freezing and seizure orders allows its 86.8%-owned unit HG Power Transmission (HGPT) to access and resume normal operations of its bank accounts.
The orders issued Oct 17, 2025 were linked to an MACC probe into a 2015 contract involving HGPT — a deal signed before Rohas Tecnic acquired HGPT in 2017.
Rohas Tecnic said in a Bursa Malaysia filing that Rohas-Euco Industries received a freezing revocation order on Nov 25, while Rohas Tecnic and HGPT received seizure revocation orders on Nov 26.
The group said it will continue to monitor the matter with its legal advisers and make further announcements if needed.
In October, Rohas Tecnic had stressed that the investigation is isolated and unrelated to its other businesses.
Rohas Tecnic, which builds transmission and telecom towers, substations and water treatment plants, bought HGPT in 2017 for RM91.66 million from Navis Capital Partners’ indirect unit PT Safe Tower Systems Sdn Bhd and Kemuncak Agresif (M) Sdn Bhd. The purchase was paid with 72.8 million Rohas shares at 95 sen each and RM22.5 million in cash from internal funds.
Rohas Tecnic’s shares closed 2.13% higher at 24 senon Wednesday, valuing the company at RM111.07 million.
