KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 26): Time dotCom Bhd (KL:TIMECOM) announced a special dividend after its net profit nearly doubled in the third quarter thanks to higher revenue and lower currency loss.
The plan is to distribute 21.64 sen per share, or RM400.1 million, to entitled shareholders on Dec 22, the internet service provider said in a statement. The company has a policy of paying out up to 50% of its net profit as dividends.
“We saw a bump in profitability this period thanks to some prudent cost management initiatives,” said Time dotCom CEO Loh Jenkim. “While it's good news, we are cognisant that this lift isn't permanent, with the operating landscape continuing to remain competitive and dynamic.”
Net profit for the three months ended Sept 30, 2025 (3QFY2025) was RM106.15 million, or 5.74 per share, according to an exchange filing. The company booked a lower net foreign exchange loss of RM4.7 million compared to RM68.9 million in the same quarter last year.
Revenue, meanwhile, rose 7% year-on-year to RM453.76 million from data, cloud and other services.
“The group remains focused on driving long-term growth through network expansion, customer-centric solutions and sustainability initiatives,” the company said.
For its first nine months, net profit totalled RM323.77 million, an increase of 21% when compared to the same period last year. Revenue was about 5% higher at RM1.33 billion when compared to the same nine months in 2024.
Shares of Time dotCom were unchanged on Wednesday at RM4.77, valuing the company at RM8.8 billion ahead of the results announcement.
