KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 25): Social media creator Foodie Media Bhd, slated to debut on Bursa Malaysia’s ACE Market on Nov 28, reported a 25.4% increase in full-year net profit.

For the financial year ended Aug 31, 2025 (FY2025), net profit came in at RM9.33 million after accounting for listing expenses of RM2.52 million, according to its bourse filing.

Excluding these costs, adjusted net profit stood at RM11.85 million, up 57.9% from RM7.51 million in FY2024.

Revenue surged 54.8% to RM37.09 million from RM23.95 million a year earlier.

In the fourth quarter, the group posted a net profit of RM420,000 for the three months ended Aug 31, 2025 (4QFY2025), after booking RM1.46 million in listing-related expenses. Quarterly revenue was RM8.67 million.

There were no comparative figures for the preceding corresponding quarter, as there is no interim financial report prepared.

Chief executive officer Nicholas Lim Pinn Yang said the results underscored the resilience of Foodie Media’s diversified content ecosystem and the confidence its brands continue to command among audiences and advertisers across the region.

He added that the financial performance demonstrated the group’s ability to scale not only revenue but also sustainable earnings, reinforcing its long-term growth trajectory.

“As we approach our listing on Nov 28, we remain focused on scaling our core segments — digital media publishing, KOL marketing, and campaign management — while accelerating new growth engines such as live commerce and short-film drama production,” Lim said.

He added that the group is well positioned to seize opportunities in an improving market landscape, supported by stronger advertising momentum and a revitalised domestic economy.

Foodie Media, best known for its KL Foodie brand, is seeking to raise RM41.4 million from its IPO, while existing shareholders will receive RM33.6 million from the offer for sale.

The company, which commands a following of 46 million across social media platforms, has said the IPO proceeds will be used to expand hiring, acquire a new building, and invest in live-streaming facilities and social media management tools.

The group operates 34 lifestyle-focused brands across Southeast Asia, including KL Foodie, Penang Foodie, Bangkok Foodie, Halal Foodie, Malaysia Homie, Car Buddie and Techie.

Upon listing, Foodie Media will have a market capitalisation of RM266.4 million. At 30 sen per share, the company is valued at 35.7 times its FY2024 earnings.
