KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 24): Life Water Bhd (KL:LWSABAH) posted a 25.1% rise in earnings on the back of higher sales volume from its drinking water bottle segment.
Net profit at the beverage manufacturer was RM9.37 million for the quarter ended Sept 30, 2025 (1QFY2026) versus RM7.5 million from a year earlier, according to an exchange filing.
Revenue for the quarter also rose 20.3% year-on-year to RM51.23 million from RM42.59 million previously.
Its earnings were mainly driven by its beverage manufacturing segment, comprising drinking water, carbonated drinks and fruit drinks. The segment contributed about 96% of total revenue, after improved production capacity at the Sandakan Sibuga Plant 1.
The balance came from its sauces and condiment segment, as well as sales of plastic bottles and containers.
Life Water’s gross profit margin inched up to 48.5% from 47.7%, supported by easing labour cost pressures after the minimum wage adjustment and the consolidation of Twinine Sdn Bhd, which operates the sauces and condiment segment.
No dividend was declared for the quarter under review.
Looking ahead, the group said it is betting on robust tourism activity off of Visit Malaysia 2026, having already expanded its fleet with the addition of new delivery trucks, totalling 90 units.
Life Water expects to sustain growth in the coming quarters, supported by its focus on operational efficiencies and cost management. The company also plans to expand its distribution network and continue with new product offerings to meet evolving consumer demand such as its new lemon-flavoured carbonated soft drink introduced in the middle of this year.
“While the operating environment may continue to face cost pressures, including labour-related adjustments, the group remains focused on driving operational efficiencies and optimising pricing strategies,” said Life Water in the filing.
Life Water had told The Edge in a recent interview that it was exploring more opportunities in the East Asian market, capitalising on improved regional connectivity and the expected increase in demand for clean water.
Shares of Life Water closed up three sen or 2.75% to RM1.12 at Monday’s closing bell. Its market capitalisation stands at RM530 million.
