KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 21): Construction outfit Pesona Metro Holdings Bhd (KL:PESONA) more than doubled its net profit for the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2025 (3QFY2025), driven by stronger project margins from ongoing works and contributions from its newly acquired property development subsidiary.
For 3QFY2025, net profit came in at RM10.9 million compared with RM4.82 million last year. Revenue rose 27.1% to RM197.49 million from RM155.42 million a year earlier, supported by higher progress billings from construction projects and property development income.
No dividend was declared for the quarter.
For the nine months ended Sept 30, cumulative net profit doubled to RM27.72 million from RM13.42 million, while revenue surged 51.4% to RM519.16 million from RM342.99 million.
As at end-September, the group’s construction order book stood at RM2.5 billion, comprising nine ongoing projects that are expected to sustain revenue.
Managing director Wie Hock Beng in a statement said the strong quarterly results underscored the benefits of diversification into property development, with healthier margins and contributions from subsidiary Gaya Kuasa supporting sustainable earnings despite a challenging macroeconomic environment.
He noted that the group’s project, Residensi Aman Bukit Jalil — winner of the “Affordable Housing Super High Rise” category at the Malaysia Property Award™ 2025 by FIABCI-Malaysia — reflects its philosophy that affordable homes, through thoughtful design and quality execution, can be elevated to a premium standard accessible to all Malaysians.
Looking ahead, Wie said the group remains focused on executing ongoing projects efficiently while expanding its order book prudently through in-house capabilities and strategic partnerships.
