KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 12): Ken Holdings Bhd (KL:KEN) has officially opened the Ken Museum, a cultural space showcasing the personal collection of its founder and executive chairman Datuk Kenny Tan.

The opening was officiated by the Sultan of Terengganu, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin, with members of the Terengganu royal family attending.

Located within Menara KEN TTDI, the museum spans 15,000 sq ft and features six exhibition halls showcasing Chinese artifacts dating from 960 BC to the 19th century.

Among the items on display are ancient Chinese porcelain, pottery, Ming Dynasty furniture such as horseshoe-back armchairs and dressing cases, as well as Qing Dynasty items including a blue-and-gold dragon robe.

In his opening speech, Ken Holdings managing director Sam Tan said the museum reflects the company’s efforts to support cultural and creative development.

“We hope this museum will serve as a bridge between art and architecture, between the past and the future, and become a gathering place where people can celebrate the enduring power of ideas, design and imagination,” said Tan.

Also in attendance at the opening ceremony was the Tunku Mahkota of Kedah Tunku Shazuddin Ariff Sultan Sallehuddin.
