KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 7): Youth-focused local recruitment platform Hiredly has made retail, F&B and hospitality industries job posting free of charge.
The initiative, which follows the company’s successful rollout of free internship postings in April this year, is part of Hiredly’s broader effort to create more entry-level opportunities for young Malaysians while supporting the businesses that employ them.
“Retail, F&B and hospitality are among Malaysia’s largest youth employers, but also the most strained by high turnover, staffing shortages and tight margins,” Hiredly said in a press statement.
“By removing the cost barrier, Hiredly makes it easier for SMEs and larger chains alike to reach candidates quickly and build the teams they need to grow.”
The decision came after conversations with business owners in these service-driven sectors revealed that recruitment costs remain one of their biggest pain points, said founder and CEO Derek Toh.
“From recent conversations with business owners in these service-driven industries, we’ve learned that hiring is one of the biggest challenges they face,” said Toh.
“By offering free postings, we’re helping these companies focus on building strong teams instead of worrying about recruitment costs.”
The expansion will help connect young people with their first jobs — often in service industries — while giving them a platform to continue advancing throughout their careers, said Hiredly.
“For jobseekers, this expansion means Hiredly now supports careers from the very beginning.
“Retail, F&B and hospitality roles are often a young person’s first step into the workforce, and Hiredly wants to be the platform that opens that door,” added the company.
As part of its long-term vision, the company said it aims to guide Malaysian professionals throughout their career journeys, from internships to executive positions and eventually senior roles via Hiredly X, its integrated recruitment agency.
“At Hiredly, we are doubling down on youth. We want to be the career platform that supports Malaysians from their first job in the service industry to their first executive role and beyond,” said Toh.
By making job postings free for the sectors that employ the largest share of young Malaysians, the platform hopes to bridge the gap between opportunity and accessibility.
