KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 3): Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn Bhd (Prolintas) denied that it is working with Touch 'n Go Sdn Bhd in the multi-lane free flow (MLFF) project.

In a statement to The Edge, Prolintas said that it has no involvement or participation in the MLFF bidding process, nor does it have any form of collaboration or partnership with Touch 'n Go in relation to the project.

“Our role was limited to allowing Touch 'n Go to conduct a proof of concept (POC) at Lebuhraya Kemuning-Shah Alam (LKSA). The POC was undertaken solely for testing purposes and did not include any form of partnership, endorsement or participation by Prolintas in the MLFF bidding process,” the group said.

The statement was in reference to The Edge’s article “Six bidders said to be vying for multi-lane free flow toll collection system contract” published last Saturday.

Touch 'n Go had, in collaboration with STAR Systems International, demonstrated a POC of the MLFF in October. Touch 'n Go said it is ready to support the government and industry partners in nationwide MLFF adoption.

Besides the LKSA, Prolintas is the concession holder of the Ampang–Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway, Guthrie Corridor Expressway, and Kajang Dispersal Link Expressway through its 51% stake in Prolintas Infra Business Trust (KL:PLINTAS).

It also directly owns the concessionaires of Damansara–Shah Alam Elevated Highway and Sungai Besi–Ulu Kelang Expressway.
