KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 31): Supermax Corp Bhd (KL:SUPERMX) said its executive director Shelley Wong Phait Lee is set to step down from her post after over a year with the glove maker’s board.
Wong’s resignation from her position effective Dec 9, at the conclusion of the group's annual general meeting, according to a bourse filing on Friday.
Her move comes “due to personal reasons and to pursue other opportunities”, Supermax noted.
Wong was among a slew of appointments to Supermax’s board reshuffle back in January 2024.
She was appointed as an independent non-executive director then, and was later redesignated as an executive director in May that same year.
Wong also sits on the boards of YX Precious Metals Bhd (KL:YXPM), Vanzo Holdings Bhd (KL:VANZO) and newly listed JS Solar Holdings Bhd (KL:JSSOLAR).
Shares in Supermax ended half a sen or 1.04% lower at 47.5 sen, valuing the group at RM1.55 billion.
