KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 28): Nestlé (Malaysia) Bhd (KL:NESTLE) said on Tuesday its net profit rose 34% in the third quarter from a year earlier, thanks to higher sales and cost control measures.

Net profit for the three months ended Sept 30, 2025 (3QFY2025) was RM114.04 million, or 48.43 sen per share, according to an exchange filing. Revenue for the quarter rose 22% year-on-year to RM1.76 billion contributed by both domestic and export sales.

An interim dividend of 60 sen per share, amounting to RM140.7 million, was also declared for the year. The entitlement date for the dividend is Nov 19 and payment is on Dec 10.

“The group reconfirms its earlier guidance and remains committed to delivering sustainable value through innovation, operational excellence, and consumer-centric strategies,” Nestlé Malaysia said.

Nestlé Malaysia, the locally listed unit of the Swiss food-and-beverage conglomerate, had guided for a “return to healthy growth levels in 2025, resilient profit [and] improved cash flow” earlier this year.

The company also said in February it will continue to focus on efficiency, cost savings and digitalisation to manage input costs and fuel investment towards brand building for 2025.

“We will continue to remain rigorous in optimising resources and creating value across every dimension of our value chain,” Nestlé Malaysia chief executive officer Juan Aranols said in a statement.

For the first nine months, net profit was 3.5% higher at RM387.5 million when compared to the same period last year. Revenue, meanwhile, rose 9.4% year-on-year to RM5.2 billion.

The stock was barely lower at RM105.30 during the midday trading break on Tuesday ahead of the results announcement. At the last price, Nestlé Malaysia had a market capitalisation of over RM24.69 billion.
