KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 23): ViTrox Corp Bhd (KL:VITROX) said it is well-positioned to capitalise on a recovery in semiconductor demand — fuelled by growth in artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, 5G devices, and electric vehicles — after posting record revenue in the third quarter.

Net profit for the three months ended Sept 30, 2025 (3QFY2025) surged 54.63% to RM34.72 million, from RM22.45 million a year earlier, as quarterly revenue jumped 55.8% to RM228.57 million from RM146.7 million.

The growth was supported by strong demand across both the automated board inspection and machine vision system segments.

The group’s earnings per share rose to 1.83 sen from 1.19 sen a year ago, its filing with Bursa Malaysia showed on Thursday.

The Penang-based automated test equipment manufacturer, however, did not declare any dividend for the quarter.

“The group maintains a cautiously optimistic stance, poised to capitalise on the anticipated demand recovery. Concurrently, we will continue to prioritise strategic investment in research and development to uphold our technological leadership and ensure the timely fulfilment of customer requirements,” ViTrox said.

Additionally, proactive cost management will be employed to mitigate potential pressures on near-term margins arising from exchange rate fluctuations and geopolitical uncertainties, it added.

For the first nine months of FY2025, ViTrox’s net profit rose 28.4% to RM87 million from RM67.78 million, as revenue grew 37% to RM552.73 million from RM403.51 million.

Shares of ViTrox closed five sen or 1.12% higher at RM4.52 on Thursday, valuing the group at RM8.56 billion.
