
KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 21): Insights Analytics Bhd, a Sarawak-based provider of asset management solutions primarily focused on water management technologies, reported a first-quarter net profit of RM9.28 million ahead of its upcoming listing on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia.
The group, with operating margin of 44.94% and a gross margin of 49.09%, made a revenue of RM28.7 million for the first quarter ended July 31, 2025 (1QFY2026), its bourse filing showed. No dividend was declared for the quarter. The group does not have a formal dividend policy.
This is the group's first quarterly results announcement since incorporation and acquisition of its subsidiaries, hence there are no comparative figures on a year-on-year or quarter-on-quarter basis.
The group derives about 60% of its revenue from water technology solutions which are delivered to key water agencies in Sarawak, including the Sarawak Rural Water Supply Department and the Kuching Water Board. The balance topline comes mainly from intelligent asset management services.
Insights Analytics will debut on Bursa Malaysia on Oct 27. Its initial public offer (IPO), at an issue price of 36 sen per share, values the group at RM198 million, with a price-earnings ratio of 10.4 times, based on its net profit for the financial year ended April 30, 2025 (FY2025) of RM19 million.
Under its IPO, Insights Analytics is issuing 121 million new shares to raise RM43.56 million, of which RM22.18 million will be allocated for working capital, RM9 million for strategic investments or acquisitions, and RM7.47 million for office expansion and IT operations in Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia.
The IPO includes an offer for sale of 27.5 million existing shares, valued at RM9.9 million, by managing director Wee Khiam Hui, executive director Bong Joon Fook and chief operating officer Charlene Bong Myn Ee. Upon listing, the exercise will result in a total public float of 27%.
Investor interest has been strong, with the public tranche oversubscribed by 53.62 times, drawing over 14,000 applications. The Bumiputera and non-Bumiputera public portions were oversubscribed by 44.05 and 63.19 times, respectively.
Insights Analytics will be the third Sarawak-based company to list on Bursa Malaysia this year, following Hartanah Kenyalang Bhd (KL:HKB) on the ACE Market and Reach Ten Bhd (KL:REACHTEN) on the Main Market.
