KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 15): TNB CareLine, the customer service division of Tenaga Nasional Bhd (KL:TENAGA) said power supply has been fully restored in all areas affected by issues at a power plant in Melaka.
Supply was fully restored at 5.54pm, TNB CareLine said in a Facebook post.
Earlier, TNB CareLine said parts of Kepong, Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru were affected by the outage.
The power cut was caused by a trip at a power plant owned by independent power producer Edra Power Holdings Sdn Bhd, which is part of the China General Nuclear Power Corporation.
"TNB thanks all affected customers for their patience and apologises for the inconvenience caused by this supply disruption," the post read.
The outage led Kepong member of Parliament Lim Lip Eng to take to X to ask for help by tagging Tenaga’s social media handle.
“Kepong in major blackout crisis! When the power’s out so is everything else,” he said.
