<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 14): NexG Bhd (KL:<a href="/askedge/klse/5216" class="ce-stock" target="_blank">NEXG</a>) said Tan Sri Mohd Khairul Adib Abd Rahman has stepped down as its executive deputy chairman, less than six months after assuming the post.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Mohd Khairul Adib, 63, resigned with effect from Oct 14 to pursue other interests, said the company, formerly known as Datasonic Group Bhd, in a bourse filing.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>He was appointed as NexG's independent non-executive director in November 2024 and was later redesignated as executive deputy chairman on March 28, 2025, according to the company's latest annual report.</p></div><div class=inPageAd id=div-gpt-ad-inpage></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>He owns an indirect stake of 12.305% or 441.36 million shares in NexG through his shareholdings in Kuantum Juang Sdn Bhd and Skyelimit Alliance Sdn Bhd.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Mohd Khairul Adib is currently a board member of Westports Holdings Bhd (KL:<a href="/askedge/klse/5246" class="ce-stock" target="_blank">WPRTS</a>).</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>He previously served as Public Service director general from October 2019 to January 2022.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>In a separate filing, NexG announced the resignation of Datuk Puvanesan Subenthiran, 49, as its executive director, effective Oct 14.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>NexG’s share price closed down four sen or 8% to 46 sen on Tuesday, giving the company a market capitalisation of RM1.71 billion. The stock has more than doubled from this year’s low of 22 sen in April.</p></div>
