
KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 26): AEON Credit Service (M) Bhd (KL:AEONCR) and AEON Co (M) Bhd (KL:AEON) have jointly established AEON360 Sdn Bhd, a new venture aimed at unifying the AEON group of companies’ ecosystems in Malaysia and accelerating customer-centric growth nationwide.
According to filings with Bursa Malaysia, AEON Credit holds a 51% stake in AEON360, while AEON Co owns the remaining 49%.
Both companies said the joint venture, slated to commence operations in October, represents a strategic investment to future-proof the group through ecosystem thinking, digital infrastructure, and data-driven innovation.
AEON360 is tasked with integrating membership services, data intelligence, and digital engagement across the group’s diverse businesses — including retail, financial services, digital platforms, and lifestyle offerings.
Functioning as the central intelligence layer, it will connect internal business units and external partners, while fostering deeper engagement, targeted campaigns, and collaborative innovation.
At Friday’s close, AEON Credit shares were down five sen or 0.9% at RM5.29, valuing the consumer financial services provider at RM2.7 billion.
Meanwhile, shares in AEON Co fell one sen or 0.8% to RM1.29, giving the general merchandise store-cum-supermarket chain operator a market capitalisation of RM1.81 billion.
