KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 22): AWC Bhd (KL:AWC) said on Monday it has secured a contract valued at about RM13 million for a waste collection system in Singapore.

The contract from Singapore’s Housing & Development Board calls for its indirect subsidiary Stream Environment (S) Pte Ltd to design, build and operate a pneumatic waste conveyance system, the engineering services firm said in an exchange filing.

The design works are scheduled to take place from Oct 2, 2025 to Oct 1, 2026, with construction to follow within 24 months from commencement instruction, the company said.

The contract is the latest major win since April when the company announced a 10-year concession worth RM18.4 million to build and operate an automated waste collection system at the newly operational Terminal Bersepadu Gombak.

AWC mainly provides facilities management services for federal government buildings and mechanical-and-electrical engineering services for high-rise developments. Apart from waste management, the company also has a business supplying track materials, equipment and machinery to the railway industry.

Shares of AWC closed up 3.5 sen or 5.83% at 63.5 sen on Monday, valuing the company at RM216.86 million.
