KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 26): Pertama Digital Bhd (KL:PERTAMA) said former chief justice Tun Zaki Azmi has been redesignated as the digital services firm’s non-executive chairman, effective immediately.

The announcement comes as Datuk Ahmad Nazri Abdullah resigned “due to other work commitment”, having held the chairman's post for over two years, a bourse filing on Tuesday showed.

Zaki, who has been on Pertama Digital's board since April 2020, previously chaired the board from May 2022 to June 2023. He was then redesignated as a director to make way for Ahmad Nazri’s appointment.

Ahmad Nazri owns a 9.39% stake in Pertama Digital, while Zaki holds a 12.4% stake in the company via MyPay Capital Sdn Bhd (10.07%) and his spouse, Toh Puan Nik Sazlina Mohd Zain. MyPay Capital is Zaki's private vehicle with Sabri Ab Rahman, who is also an executive director in Pertama Digital.

Shares in Pertama Digital ended unchanged at 10 sen on Tuesday, valuing the company at RM43.82 million.
