KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 25): FGV Holdings Bhd (KL:FGV) will be delisted from Bursa Malaysia on Aug 28, over 13 years after it was first listed.
Its shares were suspended on Aug 25 after its parent company, Federal Land Development Authority, succeeded in its takeover offer for FGV.
This follows FGV's share trading suspension on Aug 25 and its application to withdraw FGV's listing status.
Felda launched its privatisation bid for FGV on May 26, offering RM1.30 per FGV share — the same price as its failed 2020 bid. The price was still below an independent adviser’s estimated fair value of RM1.83-RM1.99 for its shares.
FGV was first listed in Bursa Malaysia in 2012 at RM4.55 per share. It was one of the biggest initial public offerings (IPOs) for the year worldwide, raising some RM4.5 billion for the company, while Felda received RM5.5 billion.
