KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 22): ITMAX System Bhd (KL:ITMAX) has secured a RM14.4 million contract from Railway Assets Corp (RAC) to upgrade and maintain closed-circuit television (CCTV) infrastructure across RAC’s railway network.

RAC is a federal statutory body under the Transport Ministry that manages, administers and develops the country’s railway assets.

This marks the third contract secured by ITMAX in August. Earlier this month, the group bagged two smart parking system contracts from Shah Alam City Council and Subang Jaya City Council via its 70%-owned subsidiary Selmax Sdn Bhd.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing, ITMAX said it had accepted the letter of acceptance from RAC, with both parties set to enter into a formal agreement for the provision of services.

The 68-month contract begins on Sept 1, 2025, and comprises an initial eight-month installation phase followed by a 60-month leasing phase.

ITMAX will be liable for liquidated damages of either base lending rate +1% of the contract value per day or RM3,028.50 per day for any delay in project delivery.

At the midday break on Friday, ITMAX shares were unchanged at RM4.28, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM4.42 billion. Year to date, the counter has risen nearly 16%.
