KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 18): Automation and engineering firm 3REN Bhd (KL:3REN) posted its strongest quarterly performance since its ACE Market debut last November, driven by higher sales.
For the second quarter ended June 30, 2025 (2QFY2025), net profit jumped eight-fold to RM4.48 million from RM545,000 in the immediate preceding quarter, as revenue rose 35.2% to RM30 million from RM22.18 million. The improved performance was underpinned by stronger contributions from both its automation solutions and engineering services businesses.
3REN, which operates in the midstream by providing automated equipment and engineering support for integrated circuit assembly and testing, and in the downstream by selling digital solutions, earns most of its revenue from US-based Intel.
There are no comparative figures for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Engineering services, comprising product engineering and engineering support, contributed 62.9% of total revenue in 2QFY2025, while automation solutions, made up of digitalised solutions and automated equipment, accounted for the remaining 37%.
3REN said the results reflect sustained demand across its key markets, namely semiconductors, automotive, consumer electronics and medical technology. It added that discussions with customers on new orders are ongoing.
Looking ahead, the group remains positive on its prospects despite geopolitical and economic uncertainties, citing growth opportunities from the accelerating adoption of factory automation, digitalisation, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
“The group will continue its efforts to diversify and grow its customer base and expand its business by securing orders from existing and new customers for all of its business segments,” it said in its filing with Bursa Malaysia.
The group did not declare any dividend for the quarter under review.
For the six-month period ended June 30, 2025, the company reported an RM5.02 million net profit on RM52.16 million revenue.
Shares of 3REN closed up two sen or 6.56% at 32.5 sen on Monday, valuing the group at RM207.84 million. The counter has gained 16.07% from its initial public offer price of 28 sen.
