
KUALA LUMPUR (July 31): Under the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP), the government will launch new initiatives to strengthen Malaysia’s position as a global Islamic finance hub. This includes updates to the Financial Sector Blueprint and a new capital market master plan to support sustainable, innovative, and inclusive financial services.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said when presenting the five-year plan, the Malaysia International Islamic Financial Centre will focus on expanding cross-border ties, growing the market for sukuk and shariah-compliant investments, and promoting ESG-linked Islamic finance to attract global investors.

To support start-ups and tech-driven companies, venture capital (VC) funding will be expanded through the Malaysia Venture Capital Roadmap, aiming to grow the local VC industry and increase institutional investment.
