KUALA LUMPUR (July 3): TIME dotCom Bhd (KL:TIMECOM) has appointed Loh Jenkim as its new group chief executive officer, following the redesignation of Afzal Abdul Rahim as the executive vice-chairman, effective Sept 23, 2025.
In a bourse filing on Thursday, the telecommunications provider said Loh, who currently serves as the group chief commercial officer, will assume the role of the group CEO.
In a separate bourse filing, the company also announced the redesignation of Afzal Abdul Rahim from the group CEO to executive vice-chairman.
The company said Loh, 53, is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and brings over 25 years of experience across the telecommunications, energy, and professional services sectors.
She is also a key member of the management executive committee, working closely with business leaders to drive business strategies, forge strategic partnerships and investments, and lead organisational initiatives.
Since joining TIME in 2013, Loh has been an integral part of the senior leadership team, driving key initiatives that have supported the company’s growth and regional expansion.
"Her leadership in evolving and driving the company's commercial principles, policies and practices, transformative projects and strategic initiatives that involved new commercial offerings, Asean connectivity expansion, submarine cable system investments, strategic data centre partnership and operating model transformation has positioned TIME for a sustainable, long-term success," the company added.
Prior to joining TIME, she held leadership roles at mobile network operator Maxis Bhd (KL:MAXIS), Talisman Energy, and accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), widely known as one of the Big Four.
Afzal, 47, joined TIME in 2008 and has served as the group CEO since then. He holds a direct stake of 0.77% in TIME and an indirect stake of 22.35% through Pulau Kapas Ventures Sdn Bhd, Global Transit International Sdn Bhd, and Megawisra Sdn Bhd via his shareholdings in Megawisra Investments.
The company posted a marginal 2.1% increase in net profit to RM112.99 million for the first quarter ended March 31, 2025 (1QFY2025) from RM110.67 million a year earlier, on sustained demand for its data and connectivity services, particularly from the retail segment.
Quarterly revenue also rose 2.6% to RM428.59 million from RM417.77 million a year earlier, driven primarily by a 6.1% rise in data services to RM378.34 million, which offset a 22.2% drop in cloud and other services revenue.
TIME's shares closed unchanged at RM5.24 on Thursday, valuing the group at RM9.69 billion. The stock has gained over 18.09% year-to-date.
