<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>In an exchange filing on Wednesday, Sealink said that the vessel is currently operating under a bareboat charter, which places operational control with the charterer, and the company was only informed of the incident on May 21. No casualties were reported as a result of the fire.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>“Investigations are ongoing, and technical evaluations are being carried out to determine the extent of the damage, which may be potentially significant based on what the company is able to ascertain so far,” the Sarawak-baseed company said.</p></div><div class=inPageAd id=div-gpt-ad-inpage></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Sealink said it is cooperating closely with the charterer and relevant parties to determine the cause and surrounding circumstances of the incident. The company has also notified the vessel’s insurers.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>The cash-strapped company owns 22 offshore support vessels mainly chartered to the oil and gas industry across Malaysia and international markets.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Shares of Sealink closed down half a sen or 3.03% to 16 sen on Wednesday, valuing the company at RM77.65 million.</p></div>
