<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>KUALA LUMPUR (May 27): DSR Taiko Bhd (KL:<a href="/askedge/klse/03055" class="ce-stock" target="_blank">DSR</a>) has redesignated its executive chairman Ng Soh Kian as the executive director of the durian plantation company.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>In a bourse filing on Tuesday, the company said Ng, 57, entered the durian plantation business by acquiring several plots of land in Raub, Pahang, between June 2017 and May 2018.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>In June 2018, he established DSR Fruits Sdn Bhd together with Datuk Ng Lian Poh. Their respective plantation lands were consolidated under DSR Fruits, a subsidiary of DSR Taiko, in March 2021.</p></div><div class=inPageAd id=div-gpt-ad-inpage></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Meanwhile, DSR Taiko also named its independent director Tan Fie Ping, 63, as non-executive chairman, effective Tuesday.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Tan was first appointed as an independent non-executive director in August 2021.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>DSR Taiko also announced the appointment of three new non-executive directors, namely Sabarina Harun, Datuk Faridah A Jabbar and Azlina Abdul Aziz.</p></div>
