KUALA LUMPUR (May 13): Australia-based developer EXAL has appointed Knight Frank Property Management as the official property manager for SÓL Estate, its flagship gated and guarded development in Sarawak.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday, SÓL Estate is EXAL’s first Malaysian development and features bespoke homes with sustainable design and smart technology. The project offers a range of services such as concierge support, landscape maintenance and 24/7 pay-per-use medical access through a partnership with Valiant Clinic.

Phase 1 of SÓL Estate is fully sold and has surpassed QLASSIC quality benchmarks.

The property manager appointment, which was formalised at a signing ceremony held at the SÓL Estate Gallery on May 9, is part of the developer’s commitment in redefining community living in Sarawak.

“This collaboration is a public commitment to our buyers — our way of reassuring them that SÓL Estate is built on trust, transparency, and thoughtful living,” said EXAL managing director Albert Ko in the statement.

He explained that EXAL chose Knight Frank for its global expertise and people-centric approach, with local delivery led by Sarawak-based team head Jane Liaw.

In the same statement, Knight Frank Malaysia group managing director Keith Ooi said the firm’s role extended beyond operational management, highlighting its role in shaping safe and connected neighbourhoods. “The role of a property manager is no longer operational alone; it is a responsibility to create places where people feel secure, supported, and connected.”

Ahead of the Phase 1 handover, EXAL conducted an industry-first buyer orientation event in Kuching in collaboration with Knight Frank and Canaan Building Inspection.

At the event, buyers received technical guidance and direct engagement with quality assurance specialists.
