KUALA LUMPUR (May 8): Construction company Infraharta Holdings Bhd (KL:IHB) has won a RM17.4 million subcontract for site clearance, earthwork, and piling works for the women and children's block of the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital in Kuantan, Pahang.

In a bourse filing on Thursday, Infraharta Holdings said it accepted a letter of award from Synergy Goldtree Sdn Bhd — primarily involved in civil and building construction — on Monday.

The 12-month contract period started on Monday, and will be completed by May 4 next year.

Infraharta Holdings is a wholly owned subsidiary of IHB Group, which specialises in construction of buildings and engineering projects, roadworks and slope maintenance, property development, investment holdings and money lending business, according to the company’s website.

Infraharta Holdings is currently being sued by Consortium Zenith Construction Sdn Bhd (CZC) over the Penang major roads and third link (PMRT) project.

According to IHB in a filing in 2024, CZC claims that payments totalling RM13.12 million made to IHB’s unit, Infraharta Sdn Bhd, were obtained through fraud and deceit, and is demanding the return of the money.

Shares in Infraharta Holdings were down 5.56% to 8.5 sen at Thursday's noon break, giving the company a market capitalisation of RM35.6 million.
