
KUALA LUMPUR (May 6): Ygl Convergence Bhd (KL:YGL) has announced the resignation of Chengco PLT as its auditor.
The resignation of Chengco is due to the suspension of its registration by the Audit Oversight Board of the Securities Commission Malaysia, which prohibits the firm from conducting audits of public interest entities and scheduled funds, the group’s bourse filing showed on Tuesday.
Ygl said it had received a notice dated May 6 from Chengco of its resignation as auditors of the company, and their term of office will come to an end after 21 days from the notice date.
“Further announcement will be made by the company on the appointment of new auditors in due course,” it added.
Ygl is principally engaged in the business of marketing and distribution of computer software and hardware, as well as solar installation.
The share price of Ygl settled half a sen or 3.85% higher at 13.5 sen on Tuesday, bringing the group a market capitalisation of RM37 million.
