KUALA LUMPUR (May 5): Nuren Group Ltd, a Malaysia-based online commerce and digital content company, said on Monday it plans to list on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange in the US.
The company, however, is assessing whether to dual list or remove itself from the National Stock Exchange of Australia where it is currently listed, Nuren Group said in a statement. The firm has appointed Zico Evolve Capital Sdn Bhd as its financial advisor for the planned Nasdaq listing, it said.
A final decision will be made once approval for listing on Nasdaq is obtained from the US Securities and Exchange Commission and all material considerations have been evaluated, said Nuren Group.
Nuren Group, which owns brands such as motherhood.com.my and kelabmama.com, was established in 2013 by former investment banker Petrina Goh. Nuren Group is currently backed by venture capital firms and boasts over five million users across Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
Its digital platforms primarily focus on e-commerce, parenting content, community engagement and influencer marketing for mothers, families and female entrepreneurs.
A listing on Nasdaq would pave the way for US dollar-denominated fundraising and cross-border acquisitions, “accelerating our ability to scale impact and innovation across new markets”, said Nuren Group.
Further, “this is more than just a listing — it’s a positive step forward in our mission to build Southeast Asia’s most trusted ecosystem for women, from marriage to motherhood”, said Goh, the chief executive of Nuren Group.
