Gas pipeline fire: Alliance Bank offers relief assistance to affected clients

KUALA LUMPUR (April 7): Alliance Bank Malaysia Bhd (KL:ABMB) is offering a relief assistance programme to ease the financial burden of its customers and employees impacted by the gas pipeline fire in Putra Heights, Selangor, on April 1.

In a statement on Monday, the bank said the various options of assistance include loan payment deferment of up to six months, loan repayment modifications, as well as waivers of fees and charges for customers and businesses that have been affected.

“The relief assistance programme offers payment relief on all conventional loans and Islamic financing facilities.

“The bank will also waive fees and charges for selected services, such as the replacement of debit and ATM cards, cheque books and passbooks lost or damaged during the fire,” it said.

Application is open from now until April 27.

Customers and employees can learn more about the programme by contacting the bank’s customer service representatives at (03) 5516 9988 or their relationship managers directly.

All requests for assistance will be assessed by the bank on a case-by-case basis, it added.
