KUALA LUMPUR (April 6): Radium Development Bhd (KL:RADIUM) is venturing into the healthcare sector with the Radium Hospital at Ayer Keroh in Melaka through its wholly-owned subsidiary A Famosa Specialist Hospital (Malacca) Sdn Bhd, says group managing director Datuk Gary Gan.
The 7.11-acre project is adjacent to the Melaka International Trade Centre. Construction of phase one is expected to begin in the second half of this year, pending approval from the authorities, and is scheduled to be operational by the first half of 2028, he adds.
Radium has been actively exploring new property-related ventures that would generate recurring income to contribute to its business and revenue sustainability. The hospital, he says, aligns with this strategy by adding a new asset class to its portfolio.
