KUALA LUMPUR (March 30): Established by Sardinian-born entrepreneur Renzo Frau in 1912, luxury Italian furniture maker Poltrona Frau is the definition of a heritage brand. Through its use of the finest materials and painstaking craftsmanship, the 113-year-old company is a mainstay in the high-end interior décor industry, celebrated for its opulent and distinctly European look.
In January, it unveiled its first-ever monobrand store in Malaysia, right in the heart of Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. To mark the momentous occasion, we sat down with its chief executive officer Nicola Coropulis at the opening event and took a moment to talk about his long-term tenure at Poltrona Frau, favourite pieces, and the future of furniture development.
A sequel to French jeweller Fred’s Inner Light line, the maison’s Ideal Light high jewellery collection evokes the sights and scenes of the founder’s birthplace in Argentina.
