KUALA LUMPUR (March 26): Rohas Tecnic Bhd (KL:ROHAS) said it has secured a RM92.8 million engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contract from Tenaga Nasional Bhd (KL:TENAGA).

The group said the two-year contract, awarded to its 86.8%-owned unit HG Power Transmission Sdn Bhd (HGPT), involves the provision of EPCC services for a 275/275 kilovolt double-circuit overhead transmission line to the new Kenyir gas-insulated substation.

HGPT specialises in electrical transmission line installations and operates in Malaysia, Bangladesh and Nepal.

“The OHL (overhead line) project is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of Rohas group for the financial years ending 2025, 2026 and 2027," said Rohas in a bourse filing.

Shares of Rohas settled one sen or 4.44% lower to 21.5 sen on Wednesday, valuing the utility construction and tower fabrication company at RM101.6 million.
